Lesson 7.5 will provide you with a background on the topic of altmetrics. It is useful to first complete Lesson 7.4 in order to have some background in bibliometrics. During this lesson, you will read the PowerPoint slides for Lesson 7.5. Following that, please read the blogpost in the required reading section below. There is also a suggested reading which may be useful in understanding the pros and cons of using altmetrics in research, but it is not required for the lesson. After you have read the PowerPoint slides and the blogpost, you will be assessed with a multiple-choice quiz.
